2nd International Symposium on Methods and Applications of Computational Chemistry

We are pleased to announce the 2nd International Symposium on Methods and Applications of Computational Chemistry. The Symposium will be held on July 2-4, 2007 in Kyiv, Ukraine. This meeting is organized by the CCMSI (Jackson, USA) and Ukranian-American Laboratory of Computational Chemistry (Kharkov, Ukraine) under support of Institute for Scintillation Materials National Academy of Science of Ukraine and Technological Park “Institute for Single Crystals”. It covers all areas of computational chemistry as well as quantum chemistry. The general objective of the Symposium is to bring together researches and students interested in computational methods and assess the latest advances and challenges in the area of Computational Chemistry.

Scope of the Symposium

All areas of computational chemistry as well as quantum chemistry will be covered. Particular focus will be put on the following topics:

• molecular modeling of the systems of biological interest;
• intermolecular interactions.

All participants are required to register for the conference and pay the corresponding registration fees. Registration form is available online at:

The deadline for registrations is 1 May 2007.

Conference Venue

Located in the center of the Ukraine, Kyiv has a lot to offer to visitors, and the weather in July is usually favorable for sightseeing. Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine with a population about 3 million. Convenient  high-quality accommodation is available in hotels with different prices. Kyiv has direct air, train and bus connection with a number of countries. Please participate in the brief survey at the registration page helping the Organizing Committee to form the set of excursion trips by Kyiv.

At the moment, no visa is required for citizens of USA, EU and NIS countries.

Registration fees

Registration fee is US $20 for all participants and should be paid by cash at the conference site. It covers participation in all sections, printed Book of Abstracts but does not cover accommodation and meals.

Abstracts

Both poster and brief oral presentations are welcome. All those interested in presenting at MACC-2 are invited to submit their work through the web-interface:

Duration of an oral presentation should be approximately 30 minutes.

The deadline for abstracts submission is 1 May 2007.

Abstracts in English should be prepared in electronic form as a single page (including figures, tables, references etc.). The following file formats are acceptable: Microsoft Word document (doc), Adobe Acrobat document (pdf), or black-and-white 300 dpi picture (compressed tiff).

Abstracts should be prepared according to the following requirements:


1. A4 paper format,
2. 2 cm horizontal and vertical margins,
3. Aingle-spaced text,
4. 12pt Times-family font,
5. Affiliation of each author should be clearly indicated using lower-case letters in superscripts (a, b, c etc.),
6. presenting author name should be underlined.
